The substrate must be free of dirt and grease. Sanding is not necessary, but increases the homogeneity and luminosity of the coloring on decorative surfaces; cloud formation is reduced. To avoid a blotchy color appearance, old coats should be removed if they are not the same product that was used for painting. In principle, however, it is possible to recoat different paint systems (oil-based and water-based). An exception are painted surfaces of all types to which the water-based wood varnish does not adhere.
Carefully remove any existing skin. Only then stir thoroughly and apply evenly in the direction of the grain with a glaze brush or paint roller. The application quantity of the first coat depends on the absorbency of the substrate. Always work sparingly. After approx. 4 - 6 hours drying time, a second coat can be applied to create a sufficient protective effect and achieve the desired color. Ideally, the surfaces should be left to harden overnight before placing any load on them. Water-based wood varnish can also be applied by spraying. To be on the safe side and to achieve the desired color design, always carry out a preliminary test.
The first coat is usually dust-dry after approx. 2 hours, can be recoated after 4 - 6 hours and is completely dry after approx. 6 - 8 hours. The glaze is cured after approx. 2 days. This system requires sufficient atmospheric oxygen for drying and curing. Therefore, ensure good ventilation.
Depending on the absorbency of the wood, 60 - 90 ml/m2 are required for the first coat. This depends very much on whether the surfaces are rough-sawn or planed and/or have been sanded. Approx. 40 - 50 ml/m2 are then required for the second coat.

The product can be stored for at least 1 year in its original sealed container. Store in a cool and dry place.
In accordance with local, official regulations. Dried residues can be disposed of as household waste. Waste code: EWC 08 01 20.
Only with water. Recommended quantity 2 - 5%. After thinning, the glaze may settle more quickly. A soap solution (e.g. washing-up liquid) is recommended if the tools need to be cleaned again due to oily residues on the brush or roller.
Colour specifications and colour prints are non-binding. Colour deviations are possible depending on batch, surface and printing technique. The dried original colour shade differs from the fresh colour shade in the container. Therefore, a test coat with colour matching is essential. Mix different different batches of the same colour shade.
