Oiled countertops are in need of regular maintaining due to wear and tear.
Countertop oil is especially formulated for the demands within the kitchen.

Application range: 

For impregnation of countertops, furniture surfaces and children toys made from wood.

Technical qualities: 

Quick and easy to apply. High resistance against coffee, red wine, fruit juice etc. according to DIN (German Industrial Standard) 68861 part 1B (furniture surfaces). DIN EN 71, part 3 certified as suitable for toys. High penetration, breathable, anti-static, enhances the natural structure of the wood.

Colour: 

Clear, transparent.

Full declaration: 

Linseed oil, wood oil, castor oil, natural resin ester, isoparaffinic hydrocarbons, micro wax, silicic acid, zinc oxide, drying agents. The VOC content of this product is 345 g/l. EU limit value max 700 g/l (class “f” 2010).

Preparation: 

The surface must be absorbent, dry (moisture content below 14%), solid, clean and free of dust and grease. Sand surface gradually up to 240 grain.

Application: 

The product is ready for use. Apply 1 - 3 thin and even coats at temperatures above 15°C. Lower temperatures will delay the drying process. Important information: Please remove excess oil  carefully after approx. 30 minutes and polish the surface with a cloth or pad. Always apply a test coat. Ensure good light and ventilation conditions during use and drying times.

Drying time: 

First coat 12 - 24 hours (at 20°C and 50 - 55% relative humidity) ready for further coatings. Final degree of hardening is reached after 7 - 10 days.

Container sizes and coverage: 

Approx. 20 - 50 ml/m2, depending upon the condition and absorbency of the surface.

Storage: 

Under cool and dry conditions. Close lid tightly when not in use. Once package has been opened film forming can appear. Skim off film before use. Shelf-life of unopened container 2 years.

Disposal: 

According to locally regulated laws. European Waste Catalogue (EWC) 08 01 11.

Cleaning: 

Clean surfaces with neutral detergents in lukewarm water. Clean equipments immediately after use with LEINOS Thinner No. 200.

Hazard statements: 

Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Safety data sheet available on request.

Precautionary statements: 

Keep out of reach of children. IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. Do NOT induce vomiting. Avoid release to the environment. Dispose of contents/container according to local regulations. Always be sure to store cleaning cloth, polishing pads, sponges, etc. that are still wet or even slightly moist with product in an airtight metal container or in water and dispose, as there is a danger of spontaneous combustion caused by the plant oil content in the product. The product alone will not undergo spontaneous combustion. A typical smell may arise due to the natural raw materials. During sanding wear mask against respirable dust.
