Insulating Primer 815

Lacke

Natural white,  for indoor application, breathable.

Application range: 

Insulating coat against bleeding of water soluble substances and impurities.

Technical qualities: 

Primer of high insulating power. Produces a finely grained and rough surface. This should be kept in mind while after-treating with Leinos products.

Colour: 

Natural white.

Full declaration: 

Wood oil-castor oil-natural resin ester, wood oil-castor oil-stand oil, natural resin ester, isoparaffins, alumina, talcum, calcite, lithopone, aluminium silicate, titan dioxide, drying agents. The VOC content of this product is max 260 g/l. EU limit value max 400 g/l (class “e” 2010).

Preparation: 

The product is ready for use. The surface must be dry, clean and free of dust and grease. Apply by brush or roller (short pile roller recommended) at temperatures  above 15°C. Apply one coat on normal or less absorbent surfaces of plaster, concrete, cement, chipboard, gypsum fibreboards, metals or polystyrene boards. Highly absorbent surfaces of plaster, gypsum board and boards of insulating fibres should be coated twice.  The adhesive power on non absorbent surfaces must be tested first. Always apply a test coat. Ensure good light and ventilation conditions during use and drying times.

Drying time: 

At 20°C and 50 - 55% relative humidity: Dry to the touch after approx. 8 - 10 hours. First coat can be over coated with Insulating Primer after approx. 24 hours. A second coating with wool plaster can be applied after 48 - 72 hours. Drying time for second coat of Insulating Primer: at least 4 days.

Up to 100 ml/m2, depending upon the condition and absorbency of the surface.

Storage: 

Under cool and dry conditions. Shelf-life of unopened containers  5 years. Close lid tightly when not in use.

Disposal: 

According to locally regulated laws. European Waste Catalogue (EWC)  08 01 02

Cleaning: 

Clean equipments immediately after use with Thinner No. 200.

Hazard statements: 

Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Safety data sheet available on request. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. 

Precautionary statements: 

Keep out of reach of children. IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. Do NOT induce vomiting. Avoid release to the environment. Dispose of contents/container according to local regulations. Always be sure to store cleaning cloth, polishing pads, sponges, etc. that are still wet or even slightly moist with product in an airtight metal container or in water and dispose, as there is a danger of spontaneous combustion caused by the plant oil content in the product. The product alone will not undergo spontaneous combustion.  A typical smell may arise due to the natural raw materials. During sanding wear mask against respirable dust.
